What blade and setting do you use w/ your Gillette Adjustables?

Right now I use a slim adjustable with ip's and start on a 3 and finish on a 5. Just getting back into wetshaving so might take some time getting used to it again.

With a Super Adjustable, first pass at 3, two more passes at 4, but very carefully. Using a Treet Classic carbon coated blade.

With a Fatboy, I'm using Gillette 7 o'clock yellows. I'm still trying to decide between 4 and 5. 3 is definitely not aggressive enough for me.

red personnas/derbys/feathers in a slim set to 7 first pass, then 6 subsequent passes...

I just set it and forget it at "9". Which blade doesn't matter.

Like Rainman, I usually set it at 9 and leave it, and am really enjoying the Red Personnas now. Sharp and smooth, boys, sharp and smooth.

Fat Boy gets a 7, when I use the Slim (in my dopp when away) it goes 8, but if I get a "new" one of either I would start at 3

My current goto razor is a 1969 Super Adjustable, but I don't adjust it much. When I first got it, I tried it at 7 (ouch!), then dialed it down to 3 where the shave was great, so I've left it alone since then.

I guess I'm one of those namby-pamby gentle razor lovers...

Both my fatboy and slim I do one pass on 7, then another on 9, then a touch-up with 9. My super I go 5->7->7

Edit: Astras work the best for me in all three.

I'm middle of the road (5) on my Slim and Super adjustable. I might dial it down a bit for a rally sharp blade.

I have my Slim Adjustable on 4 for my regular passes (WTG/ATG). I dial it down to 1 for ATG on the upper lip -- the only way to avoid weepers there.

Ok, 8, but I'll dial it back for ATG above the upper lip.

It amazes me how much variation we have here. Some people use it at three, some people use it at 9. wow. I didn't think there would be so much variation. Gillette was onto something when they came out with these
