They didn't plate these with rose gold but that is what it looks like. Copper underneath the gold wash. Still a marvel to look at. And the razor inside isn't too shabby either. Gillette, particularly during the ABC era, did some wonderful work on case and razor design.
Gillette ABC cases are so beautiful, even with the plating worn off.

They are lovely sets. I don’t own any.....yet.

Looks like the leather tab on yours is still flexible. Mine is so brittle and cracked at the box I don't latch it anymore.

Wow, never saw the exact same set before. The latch on my case is also very fragile/cracked and has suffered from all so years. Still functioning but I have it stored for safe keeping.
I only have this silver basketweave set.

I love all the variations. Do you suppose the darker areas may be remnants of original gunmetal finish?
I think the silver oxidized. I am pretty sure mine is the sliver plated case. I like a bit of patina.
