Two to three years ago, these were going for two to three hundred dollars.

This is a famous razor. It's been on the Bay forever and at that price, it probably will be on there forever. However, this is easily the most rare adjustable made by Gillette and it was never sold retail. It is a collectors piece and if I ever get one, I will probably stop collecting altogether because I will have everything by then.

The razor is probably worth it as a collectible. As far as an operating piece of equipment I have always though having the adjuster on the bottom like that looked awkward. Like you run the risk of loosening the TTO while you are adjusting.

I had a user grade version of the 195 (bottom dial prototype) that I sold for between $200 and $300. An excellent one would be worth much more.
