Giesen & Forstoff DE Timor - TTO (Weishi clone)

I found this Weishi clone from G & F to be the cheapest option in my area (Central Europe) for Weishi 9306-F(Chrome).

It is marketed as a beginner’s razor, but after trying it, I must say that it is simply a gentle razor for everyday shaving, similar to the R89. However, with this one I can achieve a DFS++ shave in three passes without irritation. The craftsmanship is typically fine; Weishi or G & F have ensured the quality of the workmanship. The material should be chrome-plated brass, with a comfortable weight of around 64g, and the handle is rather short, about 85mm.

It fits well in the hand, doesn’t slip, and doesn’t open during shaving. Considering the price range, it is a good option not only as a travel razor but also for everyday shaving. Fo those who search for mild but still close shaving razors.

I haven’t very many info about it, so I decided to leave some info in case someone would come across this razor in the future.

I own one of these. I was in love with it for a long time before I bit the bullet and spent the money to get one. It's a nice razor, in the sense that it feels good to hold in the hand, and TTO works well.
I do not find this a comfortable razor. It is not aggressive, but I easily get a razor-burn nontheless, if I am not super careful. Getting a close shave is hard without also getting a razor burn.
I basically stopped using it as a result, but I still like to have it on display. I think it's pretty razor, but for me, it aint a "good" razor.

Me too. I gave my first one to my son. He loves it. I have two now in case one breaks.

Somehow this short handle works for me even better than it's longer version sold in EU as Wilkinson TTO classic. I will maybe even try again Feathers with this one because is so comfortably mild. Today I got drama free BBS with ATG on my neck which I can go only with (surprisingly) R41 with a mild blade in it.

Just try the Giesen und Forsthoff Timor three piece. It's not a clone. It's made in Germany and the cc version is an excellent shaver. Mild but delivers easy bbs.

I know they do their own 3 piece but this TTo looks exactli like Weishi 9306-F, well maybe they have license and produce it themselves? The build quality is excellent I must admit. Chrome plating flawless.

I think I read in a German forum that they are imported and relabeled.
