Gibbs adjustable no. 15

Hi gents

I finally received my Gibbs razor and I really think it is a little wonder. I have printet a new black handle and Clouds are making a brass handle for me too. Do anyone know if the settings can be adjusted? Mine stop at 6 and I feel it should stop at 1? Thanks.

Congratulations and welcome to the Gibbs club! [emoji4]
In my opinion, this is the very best adjustable razor ever made!

As for the settings, the T-piece has rotated slightly so it needs to be brought back to the initial position.

Mentioning our specialist @Clouds here, he has a method with a nylon clamp, tightened around the top piece, which allows you to rotate it back.

Finally got my first Gibbs adjustable today, it came with the original handle and a brass handle, I believe made by @Clouds. I have been wanting to get the razor that so many adjustable razors are using as a template. First shave tonight with ETHOS Clean, Astra blade Level 4 for first pass WTG very smooth and 2nd pas ATG left me nearly BBS except for one spot near the Adam’s apple. Now I see why everyone is trying to replicate it. I did prefer the balance with the short brass handle.

I think too many try to reinvent the wheel so they can pat themselves on the back later only to miss the mark. To make an adjustable razor both smooth and efficient on every setting was quite an accomplishment. I continue to wait for a straight up clone with a Personna mod. Fingers crossed on the Heritage Collection Shaving razor. Shame I missed out on that $25 initial offering.

The only thought process with a Gibbs is scissors or hole punch. Hope you enjoy your experience as much as I have. Smooth sailing!
