Getting away from the can shaving cream.

I am sure this has been asked 100 times but if you were getting your best friend/brother into wet shaving what are the top 3 creams you would recommend to start off your hobbie with?

Start with some local stuff - The Real Shaving Company, Proraso (via Bath and Body Works as C.O. Bigelow) and, if you have an Indian grocer around, some Godrej.

If you want to go straight for the good stuff, Taylor's of Old Bond Street represents exceptional value.

the Kiss My Face creams are also a great bargain for your money. 11 ounces for $6-10. And they have good scents too. As a plus it can be found at most whole food type stores, and upper end grocery and drugstores. I also have to agree with what's been mentioned already, those are good products as well.
