Gentlemen Restraint for One Month - August 2014 Edition

I tried today. Nope. There's at least 1 lavender, 4 lemon and a half dozen unscented. I bought the last 2 sandalwood a while ago full price. It's also fully stocked with all the gels, balms and creams. I warned my wife that I'm going to clean them out - at least 1 of every cream with matching balms and whatnot. Too good of a deal. All I had to do was say "80% off" and the bargain hunter in her was all in.

I can think of a way around that, but I'd probably be out before we started because it might be considered shenaniginly...

I made it through July and am moving on through the Fall GRU, so I will join in here as well. School starts on Monday for me, so no time for shopping for shaving stuff. Just keep using what I've got and I ought to be good until sometime in 2016!

I bought a B&M sample kit of 8 soaps in July so I should be good this month. I need some restraint prior to my Sept trip to London!

Going to have to take my name off the list. I just went to my local shaving shop and they informed me they're no longer going to stock AOS so starting tomorrow everything is 80% off!! They have tallow pucks left. Yes, that's tallow AOS pucks for $6. I can't not do that.

I wish my local store had that sort of deal! I would buy all their ASB!

I've amassed a staggering amount of soap and AS. Missed the GRU Fall, so definitely doing these month-to-month restraints until the Christmas GRU. I am also moving at the beginning of September so I need to burn through some of this stock!

Here is my set up for the next month:
Soap: Stirling Spice - likely will only last 2 weeks or so but I have a tube of Indian Old Spice in the wings.
Brush: B&B Omega boar
Razor: Gillette Tech
Aftershave - Old Spice

This simple grouping delivered a fantastic smooth shave this morning! I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with the Tech.

I wish I understood how to deal with photos on these posts!

First shave of August was my Y4 Gillette SS with a last day use Astra sp. Col conk almond and omega boar brush.

Tried head-lathering for the first time. Panna Crema is just an amazing soap. It was like sitting in a field of lavender while eating a vanilla soft serve cone. Performance was excellent. Great shave.

Since I completed the July restraint I used today to purchase my exception item (Mystic Waters Lily of the Valley Soap) from the GRU-Fall restraint. I figure that should hold me over through the rest of these restraints.

Well, I really did intend to make it through the month, but I only made it 17 hours and 11 minutes. I noticed that Mike's has samples in stock for every scent I want to try, so I figured I should go ahead and get them now. That way, I'll know which ones I like and I'll be able to get them when the full size bars and tins are in stock.
