The superior lather catcher head doesn't angle down as much as the gem. That could be due to damage over time on my example. But it doesn't look like it. Another difference is the guard. The superior guard is more squared off and comes up higher. So in theory the superior should give a different shave feel. I'll try it out tonight. Gem left and superior right.

Yeah I have, what I believe are, the original handles for both. It was easier to get the comparison with them off.

The blade is further back on the superior. But it has a much larger blade gap. Just shaved with it the angle was very different than the gem. More like my kampf. It's very aggressive more than my gem or kampf. Not uncomfortable though. Very good shave bbs no irritation. Did get a Nick under the nose though.
