Just got 2 Gems as part of a eBay deal. Is there a thread, or could someone post sample pictures? I have no idea what I have!

Here is a photo. Cased is a twist to open, the other opens by flipping the head. Both appear to be chrome plated.

[Darjeeling Express]

The left one appears to be Micromatic Clog-Pruf, closed comb. The one on the right is referred to as the G-Bar. Both fabulous razors. Enjoy!

The one on the left is a closed comb Micromatic, the right is a G-Bar. Both shave similarly, of the two I prefer the G-Bar mainly for the grip.

One on the right is a G-Bar and the one on the left looks like a Clog-Pruf Micromatic. Both are great shavers, especially the G-Bar. The Micromatic can give an incredibly close shave, but can be more aggressive. It has a longer learning curve in my estimation. If I were you, I would start with the G-Bar to get the hang of the angle and develop your SE technique before trying the Micromatic. I did a similar thing, learning with a Featherweight and 1912 before trying my Micromatic. Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks, everyone! I knew you would have the answers. I'm working my way through my Gillette collection, and looking for a metal blade injector for the Schick I just got from Brian. I'll fit a trial of the G bar in as soon as I pick up some blades. I don't want to use the ones that came with the micromatic.
