GD #66 Rescaled in Bison

A while back I had picked up a GD66 on eBay for about $4. Better yet, Seraphim was kind enough to hone it up for me. While it was a serviceable razor, I felt that it could use a little more class. So, I decided to dump those horrid cheap plastic scales and replace them with these. They're made from bison horn and pinned with a 2-tone pin and collar (steel pin, brass collar). I'm rather pleased with how it turned out considering that this is my first attempt at rescaling without relying on a kit like I did with my previous restoration job.

The collars I got from eBay. The pins are actually nails that I cut, filed, and peined.

That looks great. I'm waiting for my GD 66 that I ordered from HK on November 30th.

I intend to do something like this with mine when it comes, depending on how bad the blade is.

I don't expect it to look anything like as nice as the one on the Ebay advert. It cost me £3.20 delivered. My new Dovo was £98 and the scales aren't even.
