Gamers- Fallout New Vegas

FNV is released at midnight tonight. If I were a wise man I would have taken a vacation day from work tomorrow. Alas, I am not a wise man. Anyone else here giddy with anticipation? Looks like this should be a good step up from Fallout 3, my favorite computer game ever... :jump:

Friday for us over in the UK :thumbdown

Got mine, the collectors edition, on pre-order, guaranteed delivery Friday. And yes, I've booked the day off work. If it's anything like 3, that's my Christmas entertainment sorted.

Dear God, do not tell me about this. Between Fallout 3, Oblivion and Morrowind, Bethesda has accounted for probably over 100 hours of my life. I'm sure I will buy this game, but I don't need to hear about this right now! AHHHHHHHHHH! :w00t::w00t:

I had WELL over 200 hours in Oblivion alone!!! I took two months off work and wasted most of it playing Oblivion and Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow Six: Vegas. :biggrin1:

I don't recall how many hours I ended up with in Fallout 3. Nowhere near as much as Oblivion but I seem to recall playing for 75 hours before beginning the main quest. Perhaps I'm incorrect though.

I have collectors on reserve but alas I have no money to go pick it up tonight cause the VA lady at the college is lazy and my paperwork hasn't made to the WAVE website

I pre-ordered through Steam. Already have the game downloaded to the computer, just waiting for the unlock. I know better than to log on at midnight. I'm going to wait till tomorrow after work. Luckily my wife is very understanding, and knows that I will be indisposed for the next couple of days. She actually likes watching me play, kinda like a gory soap opera, I guess.

I forgot that it won't be available in other countries for a few days. That really sucks. No worries, guys. There will be no spoilers posted here!

I may have had over 200. I really don't want to try to figure it out. I think I spent more time on Morrowind than the other two. There were so many guilds you could become the master of. Ye Gods. I spent my entire summer after high school playing it. Social life? Kaput.

Ugh. I really want to go out and buy New Vegas, but I have too many things I need to do and too little money. Can we just close this thread? Please?

I'd say I have a good 200 hours into Fallout 3. Only played Morrowind for a little bit, I guess i'm not into the middle age/ fantasy type stuff so much. Fallout is right in my wheelhouse though! SalvadorMontenegro, I wish you the best in not picking up the new Fallout. Not an option for me, unfortunately!

Be sure to post a review! I've got my hands full with Halo Reach and all that schoolwork I need to take care of...

I didn't actually like Fallout 3 that much. It was great at the start, but I left the main quest for so long to do sidequests and collect weapons that after I got my Power Armour training, I just sort of got bored of it. Unfortunately, most of my time in the wasteland is spent backpedaling away from Deathclaws and giant Radscorpions. That said though, I'll still be buying New Vegas along with Fable 3. I have money to spare now that Gran Tourismo has been delayed :[

I have it on preorder, going to pick it up after work today. So many games, so little time.

I liked Fallout 3 but I'm hoping Obisidian can inject a little more of the old Fallout charm into this one.

I'm totally playing it on hardcore mode. Anyone else?

Man New Vegas is out already?! Perfect timing, just finishing up Red Dead Redemption...I know took me a while... Mexico was my favorite part :biggrin1:

awesome! I'm so far behind on games though. I haven't touched the latest Final fantasy yet, or Halo reach, or this. I own Gears of war 2, havent finished it yet, want to get assasins creed 2. The list just goes on. I gotta make more videogaming time.

oh boy

How is it??? I'll be home Thursday morning but i would like to know if it is as good as Fallout 3 or better? I loved Fallout 3 so if it's like that i'll enjoy it. No spoilers just tell me if you like it??
