Futur: State of Art Technology?

Just bought one and it's certainly nice, but I'm wondering if it compares from a tech perspective with a fatboy or slim et al.

What do you think?

Congrats on your new Futur!
it's an excellently made razor.
beefy yet precise and nice looking.
actually, relatively aggressive, IMO.
But manageable.
Keep the angles low and the pressure nil.
you should enjoy!

If I ever manned up and got a modern razor that would be at the top of the list. The one I used a few years back I liked.

I guess I was surprised at what I saw as an ineloquent mechanism to install the blade--snapping off the head and snapping it back on--compared to the smooth and simple twist of the old Gillette's.

For me this razor was a little too bulky. I had one and I have a Progress which I have raved about in the past. I kept just reaching for the Progress over the Futur. The Futur was more accurate when it came to settings and it was a beauty to look at I think. But I just enjoy shaving with the Progress and get a better shave with it. I find it a lot easy to maneuver. This is all of course just my opinion and my experience. The Futur has it's place and it's fans and I understand why. It just wasn't the razor for me. YMMV as always.
