Fruit loops! Not as good as I remember!

I just splashed out and paid nearly $10 plus $8 p&p for a box of fruit loops.... and they are not the gorgeousness I rewmeber from 1993! Have they been changed, they lookpaler in colour than I remember too, perhaps the colours etc. are natural now???

Certainly won't be buying again :-( :-(

Tom

That is disappointing, I bought fruity pebbles while ago, remembering how good they were. LAME! They left a nasty taste in my mouth, the memory was better!

Many cereals have lost their flavors over the years, but none as badly as Cocoa Puffs anc Corn Pops when they ditched the sugary coating. Cocoa Puffs are just "meh" now and Corn Pops have become like styrofoam, tasteless.

Yeah, fruit loops had gone that sort of texture, almost a washed out stale version of their former selves, my personal theory is they have replaced the colours with natural alternatives and the character has just gone.... :( Wished I'd just left it as is, and enjoyed the memory....

While reminiscing about cereals of our childhood...my favorite was Crispy Critters. It was like eating a bowl full of animal crackers, only better. They had great prizes too, story books and puzzles!

Cheerios, on the other hand, taste just like they did when I was stringing them for the Christmas tree in kindergarten. :thumbup1:

I agree. I was telling a friend of mine about it but he couldn't tell the difference. It appears as though the loops have gotten smaller. They f***ed up the loop!!!

Hmmmmm, cheerios I like them.... :D

To say I was cheesed of at spending nearly $20 and getting not what I wanted was an understatement! :(

Go back to your old grade school, they have lowered all the drinking fountains and bought alot smaller desks now. Or maybe its my memory? I almost 60 "old timers" disease is creeping up on me.

Bummer! I hope they haven't lost their ability to cause soft-pallette trauma, too! I seem to remember Froot Loops and Cap'n Crunch shredding the heck out of my mouth on the rare occasions that I was allowed to eat them. Mmm...hurt so good.

Palate shredding is still part of the Cap'n Crunch experience.

Lucky Charms taste pretty much the same. Wish I could find Boo-Berry in stores . . . actually any of the monster cereals except Count Chocula . . .

You can easily find those cereals on the internet. My fiance's brother eats either Count Chocula, Boo-Berry, Franken-Berry or another "Halloween-y" cereal every day.
