From tube to tub?

Has anyone ever squeezed cream out into a tub for use? Does it adversely effect the quality? Longevity? It's easier for me to stack tubs than store tubes so I'm wondering if this is a doable idea?

Thanks for the prompt (OMG!) response. I'm a big fat worrywart, I guess. But I don't want to throw money out the window either.

Transferring from a tube to tub should not cause you any issues as long as you keep it tightly sealed as you will get a little more evaporation with a larger exposed area of cream but tubes do not have that much product so as long as you are not rotating 20 or more creams it will be long gone before you notice any difference in it.

Naw, nowhere so many as that. OK, slight increase in evaporation loss but it's insignificant. When I finish the tub I have I'll move some Palmolive into it. Thanks again. :001_cool:

I've always got an empty tub waiting in case I end up with a cream somewhere along the line.
I don't much like tubes.
TOBS tubs work well. They seal up nice and tight.

Yep, I like the tubes' contents but they can get messy under the caps. The tub I have in mind is a screw-top so it should do well according to the replies here.

Absolutely fine, I did this a couple of weeks ago.
