Hi Alex,

I am a fellow member and live in the UK. This is a little off the track, but can you tell me where I can get the Martin de Candre and Pre de Provence soaps from, supplied to the UK. Thanks,

Martin de Candre is available from them directly (make an appointment for a mortgage before hand), and Pré de Provence which is an American Brand (Made in France) - is available from WCS and other good North American websites (I would order Provence Santé and Institut Karité at the same time)

I've tried Monsavon, L'Occitane Cade, and Pre de Provence. I simply couldn't coax a decent lather from any of them, and those are the only three soaps I've become frustrated with, so it's an amazing coincidence that they're all French.

Our water has a very high level of sodium chloride, maybe that's the reason.

Off topic, but does anyone know whatever happened to Alex? The last I knew, he was going to Indonesia to do some herpetological research -- snakes, specifically. I hope he's ok & didn't get bitten!
