Ask me about shaving naked!
It’s Frameback Black Friday, time for a new razor! This rattler came in a few days ago, another badly photographed eBay razor that no one was interested in except me. But apparently it’s NOS, never been used and in it’s original coffin. The horn scales are in good shape for around 175 years old, and the two slight mist spots cleaned up without pitting.

Soap and AS were Floris Elite and the Brush a M&F Finest

Well it was a gamble, and we rarely post our failures, lol. But here’s a tip for those looking at bad eBay images. Download or screenshot them then adjust them in an image editor. The seller of the Crookes images were mostly just badly underexposed. One I cranked up the light I could tell that there was no deep pitting and more importantly, no cracks in the blade. I could also tell that the scales seemed to be in decent shape. What I couldn’t tell was if there was delamination of the horn (a tiny bit but mostly fixed with neatsfoot oil) or how much hone wear there was (none actually).
