That’s one nice razor.
Today I was reminded how comfortable that fat matte oxide shank is.
Hi gents,
I finally have a new face in the frameback lineup, and not for lack of trying (this one, the seller misplaced the box of about a dozen razors he sold on the bay at the same time and found it three weeks later). This little guy is perfect size and shape for everything below my jawline. I don't mind the skinny tang for shaving but it does make honing a little more interesting.

Gauthier rattler, from Pont St Esprit. Pre-shave and shaving cream were SMN and a Semogue Galahad did the lathering. A little woody L’OP Cade balm finished up.

Jonathan Crookes rattler, soap was MdC rose lathered with a vintage Mondial boar, and Myrsol Plastic Shave finished up frameback Friday.

Good Friday morning to you, gentlemen. Razor is a rattler by Manufactures d'Armes de St. Étienne. I usually face lather but I've been trying out my new SV Tundra Artica this week and tried bowl lathering which was quite successful.
The razor is kind of enigmatic. A very thin rattler grind but still quite substantial in weight with the heavy spine and tang. A nice shave for sure.
