I have both as well, but with a different take. I much prefer the 2012 version. As a matter of fact, my 2017 bottle is probably going up for sale soon.
You should hang on to it for at least a year to make sure you really don't care for it, otherwise you might regret later if you sell it too soon. You really need to give it a try this summer if you haven't already.

I've tried to track down the year, unfortunately there was no sticker on the bottom of the bottle. From what I can tell through researching the wording on the box, it's a post-2000 release, so there's a wide range on the possible age. And yes, it's insanely potent. Also, the sprayer screws off to allow for "splashing" but I can't imagine doing that!
