Fountain Pen Question from a NIB NEWB

Hello all, my question is this, I was fortunate to win a PIF of a Schaefer No nonsense fountain pen which I love. Also a while back I won some ink from a member that he packaged in syringes. Am I able to squirt the ink into the plastic cartridge that is in my No nonsense when it runs dry? If not what do I do??? Help!!! Man fountain pens are great!!

Yes you can! Or depending on the body style slather a drop of silicon grease on the threads and dump the ink into the body ala eyedropper.

U'll need a dull needle (or be careful with a sharp one) .. because the syringes I used are without one :)

carefully not to widen the opening of the empty cart you have so it will still seal good.

I suspect your pen can be fitted with some sort of cartridge converter ...

... to make ink refills easy-peasy. Someone here will know which converter your No-Nonsense takes.

Thanks Vercin!

keep an eye on the end of the cart, they do wear over time as they are intended to be put on once and then pitched, which you can reuse them a number of tiems eventually their seal will fail and you may get some leakage.

Great tip I could see it wearing out and leaking after being put on and off multiple times.

I would use the cartridges; the piston fill Sheaffer converters aren't that great, in my experience.
