I got 10 Dorco ST-301s as part of a few packs I bought to experiment with blade choices. Tried two of them and hated them both. They tore, pulled, tugged, etc.
I had almost resigned myself to throwing them away.
Then, I had an ingenious idea. I remembered that I had some cheap disposable one-blade razors I bought to practice with before I got a DE razor. So, this morning, I tried out the concept and it worked! First pass with the disposable, second pass and touch-ups with the Dorco!
Seems that the Dorco just isn't sharp enough to handle my beard on the first pass, but works out pretty well for subsequent passes. This will allow me to use up the disposables and the Dorcos instead of throwing everything away. (Maybe this will be helpful for others who, like me, have found the Dorco just won't work for their beard.)
