Found a jewel today

The wife had to go buy a quilting machine and frame in North Georgia so I tagged along for the heavy lifting. I talked her into letting me hit the antique shops. I saw quite a few razors then I saw these two rubber banded together



I just wanted the Tech but they wouldn't separate them so I ended up with an adjustable as well. The Tech is in the best shape I have ever seen one (short of still having the blade insert).

Techs are great. I don't like Gillette Adjustables at all.

And what's the TTO? Is that a FatBoy? Hard to tell from this angle if its adjustable or not.

Yes its a 61 Fatboy. I just washed it down with soap and water. It's got a spot or two on the head that will probably come off with a good polish. The tech is beautiful. I'm debating whether to use it or not it's in such good shape.

I think I honestly won't use it. I have 2 or 3 Techs (one nickel plated) that I use quite frequently. I think this one will go up to be saved.

Wow nice find, Any Fatboy under $75.00 is a steal, Considering its all brass, Nickel plated, TTO, Adjustable, Solidly made, and no longer un production, and all are over 50 years old. Modern piece of cheap metal cost more and dont have any of the above qualities /

Oh fer cryin out loud! I spend all this time looking for a birth year Slim or Fat Boy and this guy has to take it to get the Tech.., if you tell me it's a G-4 I'm going to have to hurt you.
Seriously though that's a great find and two great razors.
If you don't mind the question what did they ding you for the pair?

The Fatboy is a G2 and the Tech is a J1. The price was in the 60's for the Tech, Fatboy, and an Atra Handle that I bought for my wife

that is a really sweet find. even for $60 it is still sweet as I would have paid that price for the fat boy alone if it was in person. I never owned / tried a tech but I ordered one of flea bay for $15 shipped. Haven't received it yet. May it be the cure to my rad.
