What's new

found 9 different Rocket HD´s

Time for a thread bump!

My cased Monobloc arrived along with my cased gold anodised LD (to replace an uncased one).

So now all I need is the number 7 and number 9 :001_smile

(you know what I'm talking about)

Nudging this great thread.

Mine looks like #5
Patent Pending stamped inside blade doors.
1953 - 1954

I love how a Rocket shaves. This is one model that is always going to be one of my keepers.

What is the difference between the number of #4 and #5?I bought one,I do not know which of these two.

Very nice set! Looks like full nickel plated. Is Patent Pendig or Brit.Pat. 694093 inside the head? What is the date code on the blade?

thanks,Brit.Pat. 694093,e 4 is date code in the blade, which would likely mean that the produced 1959,I'm confused that the model of,I think it is rocket hd 500.

you are right, it´s a nice Rocket HD 500 set from 1959. 500 comes from the price of 500 Franc and was not only sold in 1957.

Achim, been a while since I looked at this thread. Noticed the links in your first post no longer work. I know it's an old thread, but your information is awesome...is there a way to restore?

Ok...understood everything but Raketenkumpel...which clearly means "Rocket-something...."

Off to babelfish!
A "kumpel" is a buddy, colleague, companion, side-kick, "partner-in-crime" (or razor collecting) you get the idea. Probably cognate with the English "chum."
