Not sure which area to post this so I picked Barber Shop...

How does the forum know when it is someone's b-day? I see that today the forum is telling me it is fuerein's b-day but how does it know? I don't remember entering that anywhere?

oh, when you first sign up, it asks you for it

you can go to "quick links", click on edit profile and enter your birthdate there if you haven't already done so.

Aha! That's what I was wondering... looks like I actually did fill in my bday and just forgot.

The forum takes your birthday for legal (COPPA) reasons. At the same time; however, if you don't choose to make your birthday public, then it won't show in the calendar. You can choose to make your birth day visible, your birth day and year visible, or nothing visible. All of this (as has been mentioned) is done in the User CP.
