According the seller:

Up for auction is this vintage Gem Jr. Razor Set called The Forty-Niner. It probably was manufactured in the 1950s. It is in great shape and would make a nice addition to a razor collection or simply to have on display. The "Forty-Niner" name is a reflection of the 49 cent price that the razor originally sold for. High bidder pays a flat $3 for shipping in the US.

Called the Forty-Niner because it cost 49 cents? Oh and the case colors are Red and Gold!!
