Hit song from 1958 about a Nash Rambler racing a Cadillac. I remember hearing it on oldies radio in the 80's.

The car that I wanted was a 1955 Packard Carribean Convertible. Only 500 were made.
First car I ever owned was a 1963 Rambler Classic. Love the vehicles from early 60s up to and including 1964.

If that is 1955 money, it still is only over $6k in today's money.
I've bought some really decent used cars for 6k or less over the years.
Those seven hundred dollar cars are from the 1940s.

Both terrific looking cars. The convertible Metropolitan were very popular in SoCal when I was growing up.
