First day back in the Red Wing Beckmans this season. I’d forgotten how good they feel. Plenty of ankle support and decent traction on slush covered sidewalks. They can also handle the inevitable 7-8” deep mess at crossings.
Only thing I don’t like about boots is that it’s such a production to get them on and off. I added three speed hooks to these and bought a couple of boot jacks a few years ago. They’ve both paid off. Now I can relax with a shot of Barrell Seagrass cask strength rye while the boots dry.
Todays footwear, for the journey to & from work at least, is this pair of old boots that I have polished yesterday. They probably will not pass inspection if I was in the army but they are shiney enough for me.
Too bloody cold to leave the house today. Wearing the lovely Crocs my 9 year old daughter bought me for Christmas and chillin’ on the couch with my bud. These Crocs shall never see the outside of the house.
18F today with some fresh snow. I put on these 20 year old Danners and started to make my rounds. I noticed how dirty they were. I made a stop for a mountain spring water wash and leather treatment. They look good enough now to go in any hardware or feed store in town...lo
