A couple weeks away from the vise. Tied a couple flies this afternoon. Experimenting a bit.
Tied these yesterday. Been a while since I've fished egg pattern. These were pretty fun to tie.

Midges lately. Couple dozen for some cold water Wisconsin Driftless action I keep dreaming about.
Trying a new to me type of fly. The flymph. Its a work in progress. Slowly getting there. These are from this afternoon .
.Tied my first ever carp flies last night. The "scarpion". It was a very fun pattern to tie . Might alter it a little for panfish too.

The body was squirrel dubbing and the hackle was from a cree saddle

My friend Fishmeister ties flies in this style. They are woolly, furry, hairy, scruffy, and boy do they catch fish.

I haven't yet. Might be a while haha. Getting warm fast here. Transitioning to warmwater species and flies pretty quickly.

The Goddard Caddis is my nemesis. Maybe I should just buy them, they are so frustrating to tie. Here is a size 14, after tying about 6 or 7. This pile of cat-barf was the best one for today.
