Yeah, the alcohol-based stuff does take a hit on shipping. Just need to get that from Pasteur's in NYC
I caved and picked up shave soap bowls for Elite, No. 89 and JF. I've got so much shave soap I do not know when I'm going to get through it all, but Floris soap is something I haven't tried yet. I have the Floris fragrance sampler and enjoy all of these scents.... I also have a tube of No. 89 shave cream which is a great performer and scent. I figure the soap will last a long time and the wood Floris shave bowls are supposed to be some of the best in terms of quality and appearance, so I got all three to get as much bang for the shipping buck (quid) to the States (25 pounds sterling). Very good deal actually considering I never see Floris products on sale besides some of their fragrances on a few of the discount fragrance sites.

well played Ben. I grabbed the JF and Elite, as well as the ASBalms for each. I have been using - and loving - the "Santal" balm, just wish they still had a shaving cream/soap in that scent (so I grabbed the bath soap to feed the need!)

Geez Louise.... Floris of London has just gotten around to shipping my bowls of shave soap. That's 10 days from the day I ordered to the day shipped. Glad I didn't order the aftershave or cologne...

I wanted to give this a try but why is the shipping so over the top ridiculous?

Got my order of 3 shave soap/bowls today (thank goodness for FedEx on MLK Jr. Day.... no USPS today). No. 89, Elite and JF. Everything is in order. Old packaging just as they say. Hopefully everything performs well..... although since it's reformulated to a veggie soap I'm expecting the worst performance wise. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. The scents are amazing. JF reminds me of Creed GIT..... one of my favorites.

Mine arrived today as well. fingers crossed on the soaps, but I know I love the balms.
Was surprised to see that they do not mark the wooden bowls with labels or such. gonna have to devise a marking system to keep 'em straight.

Well they do use FedEx. If you want multiple items it actually works out great, one item not so much. Since the one north American supplier I've seen charges $100 for ASB and $70 for soap bowl, the sale prices (roughly $39 and $27 at current exchange rate) seem pretty darn good.
I know what you mean about the unlabeled bowls. I think I can keep them straight just by scent, but we'll see. Elite is the strongest scent and No. 89 seems to be the lightest. JF is sort of in between I guess.
