Floid amber vs Floid vigoroso

I hear that the Amber has a similar scent but with less menthol. I really like the Vigoroso. I even prefer it over the blue and black versions. I do want to try the amber though.

Its similar but in a stronger way with more menthol in the Vig. They are both good. Vigaroso is orange in color.

I have the Suave and will be putting it to use tomorrow. I'll report back how it goes and how long the scent lasts etc.

Not sure if that's the spanish, amber or a different one...but it smells nice from the bottle.

Of the blue, vigoroso, and black, I much prefer the blue. Jury still out on the vigoroso. The black is a no go.

the Suave get's a thumbs up from me. used it this morning and got a nice post shave feel, menthol kick and decent staying power in terms of scent.

You didn't like the Black either? Not for me, for sure. Like the Vigaroso a lot.

No, I did not like the black. I am terrible at describing scents, but when asked recently by another forum member, I said it smelled like the fragrance section at a department store. More like a cologne than an aftershave-if that makes sense. I enjoyed the vigoroso but not nearly as well as the blue. Looking forward to ib restocking it.

You should try the Amber "The Genuine" more subtle and warm if that makes sense? It's a lot less in your face than the Vigoroso. I like it a lot.

Joe, The Genuine (Italian Amber) is milder, with less menthol and less alcohol than the Vigoroso (Spanish). It's also a great barbershop splash here in Italy.

The Spanish (vigorosso and suave) are a bit more bold in menthol. The scent is very similar to the Italian amber, but the amber does have a bit more powdery scent. It is subtle in difference. Both are great additions to the den.

Can y'all elaborate on the Black ? I've been interested.

Hi Bob, I have the Black as well as the Suave, and like them both, even though they are very different. The black is definitely a more modern scent as advertised. It goes on with kind of a pineapple smell, and dries down to what smells a little like caramel to me, it's definitely not a powdery/barbershop scent like I get from the Suave. Everyone's nose is different but that's about the only way I can describe it.

The blue is high, but the bottle is huge. I think it works out to the same as others per unit.
And I find that with the atomizer, it lasts a really long time. I bought my Blue back in August along with the atomizer - have used it for approx. 60% of my shaves since then and have used roughly 10-15% of the bottle. My Clubman or Masters Bay Rum run down much more quickly.....and none compare to the feel of the Blue immediately after or several hours later.

I have to try the Vigoroso or Amber next....just need to justify buying more. I guess I will when he Blue is getting low in 2014.
