What's new

FS Five straights (including a Heljestrand), four DEs (including a Karve set and a British flat-bottom Tech), and one beautiful vintage brush

Just in time for Christmas presents (for yourself or others), I have decided to part ways with all but one of my straights, and with several DEs and a brush. Note: all straight razors were professionally honed at least once, and competently stropped between shaves. I do NOT warrant any of these as for sure “shave ready,” but they are all capable shavers. Some may need mild touch-up honing before they will meet your shaving needs. Prices for all razors of every type do NOT include shipping. Shipping costs will be estimated online by your location, and cost of shipping will be ADDED to the prices shown. Will ship anywhere in the world provided the buyer pays shipping.

Pics and descriptions follow:

1) Tilquin straight razor. This one was made by Theirs Issard for the Belgian market. 5/8, near full hollow, nice inscription on the blade, proper pin, centers properly. Blade is very slightly warped. Paid $70 for this one. Will let it go for $49 plus shipping.

2) Cheap Chinese “Grandslam” razor. Came completely unusable, but was professionally honed to be a good shaver. Fairly heavy wooden scales. You can buy this type of razor online for probably less than $20, but it takes a lot of work to get it where it will shave well. 5/8, half-hollow, thick spine. Pin is fine, blade centers. This would be a good razor for a beginner, but will likely need to be honed prior to use. Because a beginner might need to send it off for honing, will let it go cheaply; let’s say $11 plus shipping.

Trying to move the remaining items... will discount them as follows:

Tilquin straight now $40 plus shipping.

Grandslam straight now $8 plus shipping, or $5 with another item.

'Revere' razor, the razor I learned with, now $27 plus shipping. I bought this one from Whipped Dog for $40 or $45. It is a very good shaver.

Wolfman handle now $165 plus shipping. It's a great handle, well balanced and comfortable. I just have way too many razor handles.

Karve razor set, $85 plus shipping. Can't go any lower on this set.

Straight razor sleeve $3 with another purchase. Free shipping if you purchase another item.

I will give this until maybe next Tuesday or so. At that point the sale will be withdrawn and I will put the remaining gear back into my stash.

Thanks for looking.
