First time with tabac--a man's soap

Guys, if there ever was a thread that asked which soap would you consider to be a ---REAL MAN'S SOAP--- this Tabac soap that i tried today for the first time is it.
As i have only been wet shaving for a few months i just tried the tabac soap for the first time.
AND IT WAS GOOD
I have used Tobs, razorock, trumpers, proraso and others that are excellent for shaving and have amazing aromas and textures and i really enjoy but this Tabac is something different.
Using this for some reason made me think of guys like Clint Eastwood using a dirty straight razor in front of a dirty smoky mirror in those old western movies.
I felt that this actually makes you feel that you are one of those guys.
You know,Dirty Harry kind of guy.
What i did when i got it to create a great lather was:

While the puck was in the container i put about 1 tablespoon of hot water on the soap for about 3 minutes.
While waiting i had my Muhle synthetic brush soaking in water.
I then drained the water from the container and gave my brush 3 good shakes to get rid of most of the water.
I started to spin my brush no longer than 20 to 30 times and got an explosion of suds.
next step was to take all those soap suds and my brush to my bowl and lather it for about 2 minutes.
The lather that i got was rich and creamy, just perfect for a shave.
The scent,well you know-----wow-----
Used my Slim and feather blades and got such a great bss shave with the Tabac.
The cream let the blade glide over my skin and it was thick cream no cheap
see-through stuff.
This was awesome,i took your advise and ordered the Tabac and as usual you guys were wright.

Tabac was my first real soap. After I used it, I was hooked on wet shaving.
It will always have a place in my shave den.

If you like Tabac, try Sir Irisch Moos before it is discontinued. Same company, same quality, different scent.

Tabac , Arko , and Cella are my three favorites. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to MWF and had to give it to my father in law..

It is one of the big 4.

Provided you are not allergic to one of the ingredients everyone should have access to Tabac, MWF, Arko & Cella!

That's just my $0.02

I do not think about guys when I shave :001_smile

Tabac is great and it is in my soaps hall of fame

To the OP, being impressed by Tabac, wait to try the DRH Marlborough and the new Windsor then. You'll have hard time deciding between the three IMO.

A lot of guys don't like the smell, but man do I love it. After using the soap you have a subtle hint of it. I have no idea how I would describe the smell but it's really great. Its also a great laterer and gives fantastic shaves!

I don't know if it is only me, but another thing it reminded me when i was shaving with Tabac is also the times when i was a little kid and my dad would take me to the local barber shop.
At the end of the haircut the barber would blast the back of my neck with that big humongous brush filled with talcum powder.
Used to love that.
