Hey Everyone,
A big thanks to the community as a whole, as I'm a complete convert and have been a DE shaver for about 6 months now thanks to reading up on B&B. Based on advice here, I went ahead and ordered this guy from Larry:
It's a George Wostenholm I XL Sheffield wedge, and I'm so excited to use it tomorrow morning! I do have one question though: everything I've read states that the razor should be opened so that the scales flip up basically to form a right angle to the blade (basically 180 degrees from where they are in the pic). Unfortunately, when I try to move mine to that direction, the steel hits the scales (it's too wide). Has anyone ever experienced this before? If I try and force it, it cuts away some of the scales from trying to move past them (I only did this once and promptly stopped). I can get it to a little past a straight line (razor opened 180 degrees).
Thanks! And again, Larry is the man.
