first straight shave

Will tonight did my first shave i was nervous because i only have 10 pints of blood
let me just say its not easy keeping a line of sight and using non-dominant hand isnt a piece of cake either and i kept noticing i was changing angle

Congrats on taking the plunge! Keep at it and ask lots of questions.

It'll get easier and better with each shave. I'm on shave #28 and many here will tell you it takes around 100 before you'll feel completely competent. I suggest keeping a shave log either on the forum or just a personal log. You'll be able to document your journey and it helps determine what works and what doesn't for you.

Big +1 to Sig's suggestion about the journal. Not only is it helpful for documentation and remembering things that did/didn't work, it's also great for those who come after you. It can be discouraging when starting out, and at least I found it helpful to read that I wasn't the only one that struggled.

Congrats!!! It took me about three months (straight shaving every 2 or 3 days) until I got my first socially acceptable shave.
Even after getting comfortable with the razor, it takes intense, hyper-focus to prevent nicks. Have fun!!!
