Just got my antique store Dubl Duck Satin Wedge back from Ray-man who offered to hone it at no charge and I used it for the first time last night.
I successfully did 3 passes on my left cheek, then quit while I was ahead (and not bleeding). I used my DE setup for the rest and I'm happy to say that the left cheek definitely felt smoother than the rest of my face/neck. And no nicks or cuts to boot. Yay!!
The sound of that wedge cutting the hairs on my face was so much more satisfying than the sound that the DE razors make for me. I think I might be hooked
. I was, however surprised at how trepidatious (sp) I was once I actually got the blade up to my face. I know that will go away with experience though so I'm not too worried about that.
I'm going away for a long weekend with the missus (and no kids ) so I'm going to have plenty of relaxing time to get acquainted with my new friend. I can't wait. Now I just have to decide what 'software' to bring along.
