First shave with the slant

Got my 39c delivered on Friday" thanks VT_Hokie " and had my first shave with it this morning. Set up was as usual, some preshave oil than mikes orange soap and popped a fresh 7 o'clock black in. From the first pass I could tell this was a nice razor, the slant makes it very efficient without making it too aggressive. It does demand your undivided attention, but no where near as bad as the 41. No burn, no weepers and a great shave. And considering this was the first time I used a slant, that in itself is impressive. Finished with some bayrum.

Got's to love the 39C Sledge. Smooth, well balanced and will easily will give you a 3 pass BBS. Got mine through a WTB last year and it's one of my top three razors. Be careful when installing the blade. It is known that you can get a blade off center a bit when placing it in the top and screwing the handle down.

Thanks, I took a look at that. Blade fits in and locks down with no issue, at least this one did.

Contrats on the new razor! I was terrified during my first 37C shave and wound up being surprised by how well it worked. Fear + 39/37C = DFS!!!

Shave with it 2-3 more times and it will not require your undivided attention. I think the slant is one of the smoothest and easy to use razors. I still can't decide which I lke best, the 37c, or the 39c. Great choice, Charlie.
