First shave with a gem

I think it's a gem featherweight but im not 100%, it has a white handle.

Anyway a friend gave me this as i've looked after a few of his razors, colour me impressed i'll even go so far as to say it's as good as my futur if not better, less irritation that's for sure.

I used st james cream for the first time as well, loved the scent and exploded in lather.

I think i'll have to hunt for an open comb micromatic at some point in the futur.

The FW is a pretty good little razor but has probably the least favorite handle of all the GEM's I use. Still beats the pants off cartridges though. Here's some Open Comb MM's and other models at bargain basement prices that might help you get started.

Nice shame i can't id snap his arm off otherwise.

Still prefer a straight razor but i have to say im impressed with the little gem, i probably got on so well because i treated it like a straight razor from the start.
