I got a Gem clog proof and it's a cool little razor. I followed the old instructions from GEM about keeping it flat against the skin, but it feels really aggressive. I'm not angling it but I can really feel the blade. The blade is for sure seated properly.
Are these supposed to be a little more aggressive or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, there is definitely more blade feel with GEM razors.

If this is your first Gem blade or single edge razor, the stiffer blade does give more of a blade feel than a DE. The trick with these are to keep the top cap as close to your face as possible. they were designed that way and will give you a very efficient shave. Don't apply any pressure while shaving and let the blade do the work. If done properly, the Clog Pruf is a medium to mild in aggression and gives a very good shave.
