Grabbed my Micromatic closed comb and loaded it with a Gem SS blade for my first SE shave. I took it slow and easy and got my typical two-pass BBS. I did have a couple of weepers and some irritation on the left side of my neck, which isn't too bad for the first time, IMHO. I found it very easy to find the correct angle, and it also was easier to maneuver around my goatee than a DE. A very good experience overall!
i also picked up some carbon steel CVS blades, I might try them next week and compare them to the SS blades.
