First Restore - 5/8 Geneva with Redwood Scales

I'm about to start on my first straight restoration project. I purchased this razor from Larry at Whipped Dog a while back. It's a great shaver but I'm just not a fan of yellow scales. Well, I've been looking to try my hand at rescaling and figured "what the heck". So, I ordered a set of Dovo redwood scales today. I really don't have the proper equipment do make my own and the cost of the scales was less than the cost of the tools & materials to make my own. Anyway, I've put together a before pic and an after rendering of the expected results. I'm looking forward to putting this all together.

One other option I'm considering is the Gold Dollar I have coming any day now. What do you guys think? Should I keep the Geneva as-is and use the redwood scales on the GD or rescale the Geneva as originally planned? Seraphim has graciously offered to hone the GD for me when it arrives so that won't be an issue. Thoughts?

Edit: Scratch that. I received confirmation that these scales will work with my 5/8 Geneva but not the GD.

I received the Dovo Redwood scales that I ordered from SRD. These things are gorgeous! The wood is well finished and the brass hardware compliments them very well. The stock photo doesn't do them justice. I ordered a 2.5" jeweler's hammer to peen the pin. I can't wait for it to be delivered so that I can complete this project.
