What's new

First it was the Man Cave, now it's the Temple Of Shave!

In my minds eye, I can see it now. A sink with plenty of space on each side of the basin. A good sized mirror with lighting from the top & sides. A holder for a few razors with storage for the others in the collection and a holder for a couple/few shaving bruhes. How about two or three shaving bowls pre loaded with shave soaps? Too much? Of course you gotta have a shelf for an A/S assortment. It could be on display, in all it's glory or concealed behind doors that show everything off once opened. What say you all?
Anyone have any other ideas or even their very own Temple Of The Shave already?

It's gone through a few revisions, but this is pretty close to how it was last set up. It's nice to have my own bathroom. The SWBO would never let this fly if we had a shared bathroom.

Wife to husband : Honey, why do need seven razors, four shaving brushes, five tubs of shaving creams and soaps, three lathering bowls and what looks like about a dozen aftershaves?

Reply from husband: Why do you need sixty-seven pairs of shoes?

Wife: I don't get it.

Husband: When's the last time you rubbed your cheek on mine and felt some scratchy wiskers?

Wife: Ahh!

Husband: Who luvs ya, baby.

"Temple of Shave"
Love it.
I see a business opportunity for you - sweeping into someone's house to create bespoke ToS with your recommended hardware/software.
Like a wine cellar.

My Man's bathroom. Designed by me for maximum space, absence of do-dads that have to be dusted, easy cleanability, even lighting and lots of storage space. I live by myself so there are no restrictions other than government mandated safety regulations .

<a href="http://s34.photobucket.com/user/mickeyobe/media/IMGP5049.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/mickeyobe/IMGP5049.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMGP5049.jpg"/></a>

Dresserette top is 4' wide, 36" high and 19" deep. There are four self closing drawers 18" deep x 21" wide x 12" high. There is a 12" space between the bottom of the dresserette and the floor for additional storage space,

Medicine cabinet has two doors with mirrors on outside and inside. It is 5-1/2" deep x 31" wide x 39" deep. Shelves are glass.
Open area at bottom is for brush rack. The cabinet stands 8-1/2" above the sink. I have just installed LED strip lighting along the bottom of the cabinet to better illuminate the sink. These lights are hidden from view. I have also installed a magnifying circular mirror on an extendable pantograph that stores hidden on the left side of the cabinet.
Important - There is no space anywhere that a finger with a damp cloth can not access for cleaning.

At each side of the cabinet is a vertically installed, at my head level, Halogen light 10" long for flat, even lighting.

All fixtures, both plumbing and electrical are brushed stainless steel or brushed chromed brass so minor splashes are not noticeable. Venetian blind is also brushed stainless steel.

Paint is medium grey with white trim as are toilet and the room width walk in moulded shower. Shower maintains set temperature and water pressure at all times. Shower head goes from April shower to near fire hose spray settings. No tub. Floor is grey ceramic tile.

I am a happy shaver.

How about "Whisker A Go Go"?
Reading the OP, I thought of the godawful shows my wifely unit watches. Property Brothers, Love it Or List It. Stuff I sneerigly refer to as "Home Reno Porn". In my alternate universe, I'd have one of those shows come to my house, and they'd do up a list of fixes to make the house sell. I'd tell them, "No I'm not selling". I'd show the photos in this thread and say, "Just gimme all this".
