Got my '51 SS in the mail today. Went to wally-world and grabbed a pack of the only blades they had (Wilkinson swords). Only did one pass because my neck is beat up from my disposable, no nicks or weepers, and happy so far. Think it's time to invest in a sampler pack.
First DE shave today.

I had my first DE shave today with my Weishi Classic (9306G). I used an Astra Superior Platinum blade. My first impression of the Weishi wasn't great, because when I put the blade in, I noticed that one of the blade's cutting edges stuck out a bit further than on the other side once I screwed down the doors. Also, once the doors were screwed down, the blade could still be moved around. It wasn't loose by any means, but I was hoping it would lock the blade in tight with both cutting sticking out equal amounts on both sides.
The shave wasn't bad, probably on par (or a bit less) than my Mach 3. I did a couple of passes. There were a few rough, stubbly spots afterwards and I had three weepers. One was because I sliced off a shaving bump caused by my Mach 3. The Weishi is definitely a mild razor. I think I still need to work on my angle, though.
As far as my issue with the cutting edges not sticking out equal amounts on both sides, is this an issue with Edwin Jagger razors as well as the Weishi? I think I'd like to try an EJ D89 next. Thanks, guys.
