First DE Blade You Ever Used?

Oh, too long ago to remember (sometime in the 80's), but I guess, it must have been some Polsilver Wizamet, made in Poland. I still keep a couple of packs of these blades for sentimental reasons.

Mine was probably the Merkur blade that came with my first Merkur razor. I don't remember the shave.

Early on I used mostly private label Personnas.

Then I used to be some red and black packaged Gillette blades that were super expensive (even back around 2002 - like $11 for a 10 pack) which had many mixed reviews. Someone on B&B suggested Gillette made them bad to convince people to switch to Mach razors!

Wilkinson Sword blades which came with Wilkinson Sword classic razor. Tried one more pack of them later with Wilkinson TTO and never used them again. Not for me.

Wilkinson Sword from Germany, since it was the only blade I was able to find back then in Germany. The razor was a British NOS aluminium ball end Tech from 1974, Nivea shaving cream and a German drug store shaving brush called Isana.

wilkinson sword early 70,s thats was all you could get,in some brass open comb gillete,me and my dad used the same razor and the same brush with not many hairs in it,palmolive shave stick,we both used the same blade,no health and safety in them days.

The first DE blade I shaved with was about 6 years ago (June 16, 2016). It was a pre-2016 Derby Extra in a Merkur 23C. Even on my first DE shave, that combo absolutely blew the cartridges away. The Merkur and a blade sampler were a birthday gift from the OL.

The first DE blade I shaved with was not that long ago. Six years ago. It was an Israeli Red Persona in a Merkur 34C.

Actually it could have been a Shark or a Lord from this pack. I did shave with the Merkur that came with it once, but, not my first shave. Probably the Lord Super Chrome.
