First Air Popper Roast

Got the roasting bug, so I picked up a Nostalgia hot air popper. Wanted to get started, so I just ordered some Sumatra and Ethiopian Sidamo beans from Amazon. First two attempts seem to have come out nicely. I like dark roasts, but will try to dial it back a little next time. The coffee was really tasty and the aroma was insane! Looking forward to another new hobby!

I have been meaning to get into that myself. In fact I have some Kona beans coming that I could have bought green and got the nostalgia popper basically free.

I use a "Popcorn Pumper". Seems that the hot air roasting is very quick compared to other methods. I get to FC in 2:30 - 2:45min and usually finish C+ to FC depending on the bean by 4:00min.

I've roasted a few more batches. The Nostalgia air popper works well with 80 g of green beans. Hitting very early 1st crack around 2:45 (but it doesn't really get going for another minute or so) and 2nd crack around 8:00.
