Fire Tom Coughlin

Great article.

One of my favorite TV moments is watch Coughlin when it is brutally cold out and his face is all red and splotchy. [It is particularly enjoyable when the wind chill is sub zero at Giants stadium and 80 here in St. Pete.] And then one of his players makes a dumb play and the camera pans Coughlin's face. A great shot.

I must admit that as a Giant fan I have called for his retirement when he becomes too predictable. Run on the first down no matter what the defensive formation etc. However, he has shown his true colors when he beats the Patriots in the Super Bowl. :thumbup:As long as he can do that, he has my respect.

I was at that brutally cold game and it was that cold, it was actually in Green Bay. You can thank Brett Farve for that superbowl trip. As far as Coughlin hanging it up, kinda hard to tell a guy who has won two superbowls in the last 4 years to hit the road.....

That article shows what type of man Coach Coughlin is versus the 'fans' who think we know it all.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Gmen got the hardest schedule in football, while the Patriots got the easiest; didn't they play in the SB also?

I don't think the New York media even knows that the Giants exist. The other night I read an EIGHT PAGE story in the NEW YORKER that was basically a summary of the Jets' past year. As in, "In case you don't know what's happened in the past year for the Jets, I'm going to fill you in."

The Bucs really didn't play that well. The Giants almost beat themselves, but Eli was able to step it up in the end.

Eh... maybe. I think it has more to do with the fact that right now he's being paid six or seven figures to fly up to NYC (he lives in North Carolina) for the weekend and spend his Sunday saying things like, "Right now the 49'ers look like the team to beat in the NFC." That's a pretty sweet way to spend your mid-50's.

He has won the Super Bowl twice when it appeared that he was about done. His survival instincts are amazing.

Too many people were believing in them. They need to take the month off, so that they can begin a furious December rally. Plus, the holiday season is Tom's favorite time of year to yell obscenely.
