Fine "Marvel" Razor

It seems that most guys consider this to be a mild razor. Let me hear your opinion on this please.

For reference I shave every other day and say my stubble is medium coarse at the chin, average at the jaw line and neck. For me this was more aggressive than Jagger de28, Merkur 34c, RR Mamba and more efficient than the Merkur slant, RR German slant and Rockwell 6S plate #4. YMMV but for me the Rockwell 6S plate4 requires three pass shaves plus clean up: with the a Marvel I've only needed two passes w/out need for a clean up pass (but do any way because I don't want the shave to end). I wouldn't say the shave feels aggressive, but very efficient.

So you feel it is more aggressive than the Merkur 34. This gives me some idea of how it will be.

im having trouble. only perna sharp worked fine for me. too aggressive for me.

Does this look similar to a Merkur style head but with a larger gap and guard?
Back when I bought a couple Scotch and Stowe razors for their stainless steel handle I didn’t care much for the head due to uneven blade alignment that you have to adjust to make sure they are aligned properly, one day I got a different type of head that aligned the blade properly evenly on both sides without having to check it.

The blade exposure was minimal but the gap and size of the bar was larger than normal and it gave a smooth shave compared to the other heads I got.

I can see how the Marvel razor gives a smooth shave the gap is larger but is paired with a larger bar guard.

I’m curious if the blade aligns properly evenly on both sides? I know the the head and plate doesn’t match up as good as machined razor parts.

My Marvel Razor aligns perfectly every time but, I cannot say they all do 100% of the time. I think Mr. Fine will make it right if there is a problem though.

While the casting is not impressively precise my two examples align fine.

When I use a DE, I find it hard to reach for any other razor. Everything aligns properly for me and the quality is just fine. Smooth, comfortable and very effective and that's what we all want

I bought mine today along with a 100 pack of Ladas blades on Maggard Razors website, using my winnings from my local casino I won the other night. I’ve been thinking of giving it a spin; for $40 it is worth a try.
