Fine! American blend nice but where is the slickness?

My first Fine shave with the American blend cream lovely barbershop scent nice texture but where did the slickness go? Should I have gone with the soap instead?

You can always try adding more water. FINE soaps have good slickness, not sure about the cream.

Water is the key for most soaps and creams for slickness as @Billy T. Mentioned

I do not have any experience with the cream but the soap produces a very nice and slick lather for me.

The actual lather was perfect with a nice structure to it, but the post shave feel definitely wasn't as good then what I get out of for example Barrister & mann, Stirling, Tobs or even cella bio
