What's new

Finally got my "Greenie"

Been searching for a green handled brush for a while but I always seem to end up missing them. Really wanted a Drake, but came across this Simms on the BST recently. I think I like it a bit better than the Drake even :001_smile.

The top on this thing was HUGE! After a some minor surgery and a raid of the parts bin for a smaller top, I think it is now sized a little better. And yes, the top is flipped... I tried it both ways I this looked a little better to me and sets it apart a bit too from what you typically see. The knot is a 22mm Super set at about 48mm.

I'm out of polish so I need to pick some up then I'll buff it out a little more. Good enough for now though :thumbup1:. (Note: It is a darker green than what the picture shows).

I too have my eyes always open for the green.

This one turned out very nice. Flipping the top really transforms it.

Man, I really love how you slipped the top on that. Looks much better. Now I know why I'm holding on to those 6 or so broken handles I have...

Thanks all! :001_smile I like the way the flipped top turned out... I think the curves mirror the shape of the bulb knot better that way.

Gave it a test lather yesterday to defunk. Had enough backbone to work the soap nicely. Has a nice bloom too. :thumbup1:
