Finally - A bloodless Feather shave

The first time I tried a Feather blade I thought I had a great first pass until my cheeks started weeping blood like the walls in The Shining. Needless to say I was hesitant to ever try them again but after a few more months of refining my technique and a much improved lather I bit the bullet and tried them again. Not only was it bloodless but it was damn comfortable. Thanks again for all the tips and help I've gotten here at the B&B.

Exactly how I learned to tame the Feather. Refine your technique and learn to make a great lather.
They definitely do not allow for error or lackluster shaving routines.
My fav blade now.

Congrats!

I have a feather from a sampler pack. I haven't tried it yet because I want to make sure my technique is good so I don't turn my legs into hamburger.

if all you have is one feather, you might want to grab one more pack of them from wcs or some other vender. ive found that sometimes you can get a bad blade, so having more than one blade is key to make sure that it wasnt just the blade. come to think of it, if all you have is one, pm me your address, and ill send you a couple more feathers since i think they only come in packs of 10. if you want.

Lol. Yes I am female and I shave my legs on purpose. Thanks for the laugh though I am glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time I read the reply.

Feathers are my faves next to IP Reds. They DO find imperfections (who has those??) and don't forgive very often. Prep and practice (buy multiples, there ARE faulty blades) can make a big difference, but boy do they deliver a close shave!

Simular experience, i switched to derby blades to see if they were better for my skin. After a few weeks I have gone back to feather, the last 2 shaves have been great, super smooth and no irritation.
