What's new

Finally a bbs with no irritation or razor burns. Yay !

today I used some few new things. I used proraso ultra sensitive saop, and for the first time , and I used a facial cleanser. with the merkur slant 37c loaded with an astra sp blade.

I had a problem with going atg. because there was too much razor burns and irritation. so I came here. and posted this thread
http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/354097-I-feel-disappointed-every-time-I-go-for-BBS

and so on a guy named verbavolant proposed using a facial scrub.so i used it today with my new soap and it made a HUGE difference.

I had like 3 nicks and had a BBS. and guess what I felt?. NO RAZOR BURNS OR IRRITATION!. and the small nicks stopped bleeding after a minute without using anything. actually they were too small to bleed too much. I even used a cotton ball to test and it was surfing smoothly

so using this new approach while using the merkur slant. with time I will get a nick free shave. the only complaint I have is the finish of the merkur 37c.

atg will be no problem in the future and

THIS IS MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SINCE I STARTED WETSHAVING. AND IT WAS WORTH IT!:jump:.

Congratulations my friend!
I always wash my face with a good old fashioned bar of soap in the shower to soften the beard. Then I use Prorasso pre shave and leave it on my face while I get my lather ready.
It seems to work for me.
Good luck with your future shaves!

YEAAAH! Congrats but don't get too cocky. Go slow and go for a double bbs. Then a triple, hey, your on to something.:thumbup1:

Congrats and trust me as your technic gets better so do the shaves. After a month of trial and error(lots of error  ) and some help from the forum I can getting a DFS with no burn is now standard and a BBS is happening more often with little to no effort! :a17:
