Fill a NEW handle with shot?

I was fixing the crack in my thin ball end NEW handle yesterday and realized it is hollow. What do you guys think of filling it up with shot and epoxy to give it more heft? I imagine that this has been discussed before, and that it's been done. Could someone point me to the discussion if it exists?

I guess the two main questions are 1: how much weight to use? and 2: where to set the balance point of the razor? Any ideas or suggestions? I suppose the weight of a NEW Improved would be nice.

Just cut strips of wire solder and stuff them down the spindle hole, they won't rattle around and you can shake them out if you don't make it too tight.
